PROBATIONARY POSITION
ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
Applications are being accepted for the following anticipated vacancy:
Assistant Principal at Gelinas Middle School.
Prerequisites for the position are:
- New York State certification SDA/SBL/SDL
- Middle school experience preferred
- Master scheduling experience preferred
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide collaborative leadership for rigorous and challenging academic programs for all students, through sound student-centered decision making
- Monitor individual professional development plans at secondary level
- Curriculum development and instructional supervision
- Interview, coordinate, and assign observers, student teachers, and interns at the building
- Monitor and coordinate co-curricular program, activities, and field trips
- Coordinate local and state data reporting
- Assist in supervision of non-instructional and instructional personnel
- Use of student management software
- Address the concerns of students, parents and staff
- Facilitate parent/teacher, student/teacher conferences
Start date: July 1, 2026
Salary is in accordance with TVSAA contract.
