Student Assistance Social Worker
(Drug and Alcohol Counselor)
- New York State School Social Work Certification (LMSW Preferred)
- Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor
- Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Key Functions include the following:
Provide individual counseling for students in grades 6-12 who are identified as high risk. Create and implement classroom lessons for all health classes. Facilitate small group programming for students including the facilitation of anxiety management groups. Serve as a resource for education and referrals in the community for parents, students and staff. Develop and facilitate Parent University fall and spring sessions.
