SPEECH AND LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST – District Evaluator
New York State certification as a Speech and Language Pathologist is required.
Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
- Participation in district-wide CSE’s/IST’s.
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations of students referred for speech and language assessments such as: CELF, CASL, and Goldman Fristoe.
- Writing detailed evaluation reports summarizing assessment findings, recommendations, and treatment plans.
- Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to discuss evaluation results and develop appropriate goals and interventions.
- Providing consultation and support to teachers regarding classroom strategies and accommodations for students with speech and language difficulties.
- Monitoring and documenting progress toward speech and language goals through ongoing assessment and observation.
- Collaborating with other members of the multidisciplinary team, such as psychologists, occupational therapists, and special education teachers, to provide comprehensive support to students with diverse needs.
- Direct speech therapy as needed K-12.
Salary will be in accordance with the Three Village Teachers Association (TVTA) contract.
Estimated start date: September 2024
